Hi there! I’m Mikel (pronounced Mee‑kel, in case you were curious) — a voice over artist who’s spent a lifetime loving sound, storytelling, and the magic that happens when the right voice brings a message to life. I’m building a fun, fulfilling career doing exactly what I love: using my voice to help brands communicate, characters breathe, and ideas connect.

My journey started back in high school when a group of friends pulled me into theater arts. I began as a full‑on techie — building sets, running lights, and designing sound — until one day they tossed me onstage as an extra and… boom, I was hooked. That spark carried me through college, where I continued performing and working behind the scenes.

Life took me on a few detours — including serving on active duty in the U.S. Air Force and raising a family — but the arts always found their way back in. When I returned to Maine, I jumped into community theater and rediscovered how much I missed being part of creative work.

By day, I built a career in data analytics, working with organizations like the University of Maine System and MaineHealth. Along the way, I was asked to present and record e‑learning modules, corporate explainers, and training content. Somewhere in the middle of all that recording, I realized:

“This is what I want to do full‑time.”
